The New Kitchen is progressing with Rotarians from across the district working tirelessly.
So we can stay operational parts of the existing kitchen floor were removed to enable footings to be dug and poured as the first stage of the Kitchen redevelopment. The existing cool room was
removed and dismantled for scrap, rust and all. The wall that the cool room had occupied was then rebuilt using styrene
panel, flashed off and finished. The holes in the floor were
repaired and the kitchen fully cleaned and ready for the next booking. The Camp remains fully operational through the build process.
The next stage is to begin the fabrication of the steel frame and more pictures will follow. Once completed the camp can then be accredited by the “Australian Camps Association” The Camp can currently accommodate 70 people and is disable friendly which meets the “Camps” original charter to provide a youth camp for people of all abilities.
Because “It’s Your Camp” Rotary clubs are encouraged to continue to donate both time and funds to the Kitchen redevelopment . To make a donation contact Ken Maxfield on 0412 489 580 or email email@example.com
